2025 Annual Sporting Clay Fundraiser


Join us for our 3rd annual Clay Shoot Fundraiser, where your marksmanship can make a difference in the lives of hotshots and their families. This engaging fundraiser brings together shooting enthusiasts of all skill levels for a day of friendly competition and community support. Participants will navigate our challenging course, testing their aim while raising crucial funds for our mission. This is a beginner friendly shooting event, all are welcome to register!

CLAY SHOOT LOCATION:  5 Dogs Range - Bakersfield, California

DATE: April 11th & 12th, 2025

This is a Rain or Shine Event

SCHEDULE 

Friday April 11th:
 Camping available, RV’s are Welcome, Friday April 11 th on-site at the 5 Dogs Range.
 Practice shooting on Friday for a cost of $40.00 per round.
 Tri-tip BBQ/Potluck will be held on Friday night. Bring your favorite side dish.

*If less than 45 teams registered on the day of the event, there will be onsite signup for $800 per team.


Saturday April 12th:
 6:00 AM Breakfast Burritos and Coffee
 7:00 AM Finalize team roster and provide team score card.
 8:00 AM Main Event, fundraiser shoot
 After the shoot there will be a raffle with many great prizes such as firearms, gun safe,
chainsaws and more!
 Post shoot BBQ Lunch
 Awards for the 3 highest scoring teams, best shooter male, female, and youth shooter (age 18 or
younger) along with the individual with lowest score.

*If less than 45 teams registered on the day of the event, there will be onsite signup for $800 per team starting at 0700.

  • BBQ only: $25

  • One person entry: $150

    Includes BBQ lunch and custom t-shirt
  • 5 person team registration: $750

    Includes registration for 5 people, BBQ Lunch, custom t-shirts for each team member, and sponsor signage posted at shooting stand.
  • Sponsored Team registration: $1000

    Includes registration for 5 people, BBQ Lunch, custom t-shirts for each team member, and sponsor signage posted at shooting stand.

ADDITIONAL PRICING OPTIONS

  • Stand Sponsor: $250

    Show your support by placing your company or organization logo at one of the shooting stands at the event.
  • Platinum Sponsor: $5,000

    Platinum sponsor will be entered into a 1 in 5 chance to win a premium gun valued at $2000. Advertising including website, newsletter, social media, continuous recognition throughout the event, and signage at the event

  • Teams are composed of 5 shooters

  • After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email that includes access to a Team Profile link.

  • This event is limited to a maximum of 45 teams. If less than 45 teams registered on the day of the event, there will be onsite signup for $800 per team.

  • All registered shooting participants will receive a t-shirt and sporting clays for the day. Firearms and ammunition is not provided.

WHAT ARE WE RAISING FUNDS FOR? 

The US Hotshots Association’s (USHA) is based on three pillars - to support, honor, and advance US Hotshots - former, current, and future, both on and off the fireline. All proceeds from the Clay Shoot will go directly towards supporting this mission and implementing the following programs:

Crisis Relief 
Supported 46 former and current Hotshots during times of need (Injury, Line of Duty Death, mental health support.

Scholarships for college education

Supported 43 Hotshots or their family members to pursue college education since 2020

Staff Rides

Facilitated and coordinated Staff Rides. Staff Rides are an opportunity to “to put participants in the shoes of the decision makers on a historical incident in order to learn for the future." In 2022, the annual conference included the Loop Fire Staff Ride, 2023 the Cedar Fire Staff Ride, and in 2025 the Thomas Fire Staff Ride.

Annual conferences 

USHA hosts an annual conference, open to everyone, that gathers Wildland Fire Leaders from across the nation to speak on the current state of Wildland Fire operations, and gather future, current, and former Hotshots together to build community.
