Jake Hernandez, Lassen Hotshot Squad Boss, was recently diagnosed with stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
So far Jake has undergone two surgeries with one on August 4th to remove a cancerous tumor and a second on August 28th.
Jake’s treatment will include chemotherapy, which will start on August 31st
(treatment may include radiation and immunotherapy).
His current plan with his medical providers is to start with 4 rounds of
chemotherapy lasting through the end of the year and then assess the
prognosis at that point.
